I don't often do individual commissions instead I prefer to be hired by teams for projects. Prices can include $100-$1,000 per art piece depending on the art and details made & depending on the company's wages at time of hire (i.e, how much they are worth and willing to pay).
Usually, I am reluctant to start with traditional commissions due to the lack of enjoyment of customer service and the bad pay.
There are exceptions where I don't mind working on commissions for an individual person.
I primarily work with concept art and can work in illustration. I use a lot of photo references that I take of real life with some pieces and base some of the texture shading based off my camera! :)
